East Wake High School was built on the South Campus of what was Vaiden Whitley High School in 1977.  The original colors of East Wake were Columbia Blue and White.  In 1990, the colors were changed to Royal Blue and Gold of Zebulon High School, but retained the original Warriors mascot.
