Exclusive Video: David House promoted at South Davidson

South Davidson didn’t have to look far for their new leader as defensive coordinator David House was promoted to the role of head football coach today at a press conference in the school cafeteria.

Principal Chris Adams announced the new hire to the players and media in attendance and House got a roaring applause and a standing ovation from all of the players.

House takes over for Tripp Honeycutt who led the Wildcats for two seasons before recently being selected as the head football coach at Walkertown. Honeycutt was able to help orchestrate an incredible turnaround for the school’s football program over the last two seasons, guiding the team to eight wins during his short stint, which is more wins than they had won in the previous eight years combined.
