It was announced today that former Swain County and Smoky Mountain football coach Boyce Deitz passed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Deitz finished his career in North Carolina with a 219-70-2 head coaching record that spanned over 20 years.
