Top-25 Power Rankings: Week 2

The latest CarolinaPreps.com – Red Zone Strength Top-25 Power Rankings have been released following the opening weekend of the 2023 season.  Following an impressive 30-7 victory over Mount Tabor, Greensboro Grimsley holds on to the top spot in the 4A classification, but a 54-3 victory over Cox Mill on Thursday moves Weddington up to the second spot and the Warriors received serious consideration for number one.

Crest flexed some serious muscle by knocking off South Carolina power Gaffney on Friday moving the Chargers to the head of the class in the 3A ranks.

Clinton has surged to number one in the 2A class while defending state champion Mount Airy continues to have a stranglehold on the top spot in the 1A classification.
