Reagan appears poised to challenge East Forsyth for the league title, bolstered by a strong core of returning talent. In past seasons, Josh McGee’s team has consistently tested the Eagles, often pushing them to their limits.

West Forsyth, as always, is expected to play a significant role in shaping the league’s outcome. Meanwhile, newcomer Northwest Guilford looks solid heading into its conference debut.

R.J. Reynolds is also showing promising progress. The team is expected to continue improving and remain competitive this season.

It’s also kind of strange not to have Davie County in the league.  This is the first time since 1985 that the War Eagles aren’t part of the CPC.

    My predictions:

1 (tie) East Forsyth / Reagan

    3. West Forsyth

    4. NW Guilford

    5. R.J. Reynolds

    6. Parkland

I could see Salisbury anywhere between 6-4 and 8-2 or so.  They’ll be a decent team, but I’m not sure if they’ll be among the 4A elite. However, Clayton Trivett is a great coach, and they’ve some good team speed, so they’ll be extremely competitive.

I would say they would defintley be underdogs against J.M. Robinson & Oak Grove, and they’ll probably be underdogs against Forest Hills too.

I could see their games vs. West Rowan & NW Cabarrus being a dogfight.

They’ll most likely be favored against North Rowan, East Rowan, South Rowan, & Carson.

A.L. Brown has the potential to be pretty decent this year.  I don’t think that they’re necessarily a 10-0 kind of team, especially with the likes of Mooresville on the schedule, but I do believe the Wonders could have their best team in recent memory.

I think that 7-3 or 8-2 is doable.  The season-opening game against Porter Ridge will be a key indicator in my mind of what we can expect from the team.  While the Wonders are 4-2 all-time against the Pirates, I think they’ll most likely be underdogs, and their performance will help me decide how strongly I feel the season could be.

I think the conference will be a toss-up between Kannapolis and Olympic, but I think the Wonders will have a shot at the league title.

Assuming that junior A.J. Settles is the quarterback, I think he’ll be a change in direction from what we saw with C.J. Gray behind center.  While Settles has nowhere near the arm talent that Gray had, I came away really impressed with what I saw from him against South Rowan last year, he was quick with the ball and can be a solid passer and rusher.

Solid hire at Pine Forest with Kevin Inman.  Obviously he has a deep history in Fayetteville with his father Wayne Inman’s success at Terry Sanford (and South View as an assistant).

I’ve always thought Pine Forest was a gold mine waiting to explode on the scene.  Hopefully Inman will be able to get the Trojans to their potential.

I had a conversation with a few Iredell County head football coaches recently, and they were telling me that as of this moment, there were no plans to build athletic facilities at the school due to a lack of money from the county.  I am sure this will change, but I think there are some budget issues.

    We’ll wait for more information.

I’m working on making changes to make this forum easier.  But by the season, this will be rocking.

After not getting the job, I doubt he’d go back as an assistant.  I know he’s working his tail off to make Rocky River a better place for those kids.

I know there are still some questions from some of the member schools about Lake Norman Charter.  I’m not sure if they’ll stick in this conference or not.

I agree, it’s not an ideal situation for money.  I do think your Wonders will be able to compete well in it.

We know who you are!!!!  Thanks for coming back to this new board.  I know it’s a pain in the rear to re-start a new forum, but I appreciate your patience.
