Not sure what to think about this. I’ve seen where team be down by 5 TDs and make a comeback. Maybe not win the game but kept it close. Also I could see where reserves are robbed from playing action. They work hard during practice. Also I could see where this can keep a game from really getting out of hand. Sometimes I think they just want to get the night over with.

I don’t know if I like the 35 point mercy rule at halftime. I remember years ago Brown played at Burlington Williams, Brown was up 34 to 0 at halftime and lost 35 to 34.

Seem like I remembered several games over the years or so where a team was down like 4 or 5 TDs and the team came back and won or close to winning. I’m definitely not a fan of 35 points. Actually I would rather seen 49 points. Even being down 42 at least players can gets some more playing time without a running clock. I guess I’m old school.
