East routs West 35-7 in first December East-West All-Star Game

Greensboro – The East All-Stars did about everything right on Saturday as they cruised to a 35-7 victory over the West at Grimsley High School’s Jamieson Stadium.

The East powered their way to 514 total yards of total offense compared to 159 for the West, and their running game was not going to be stopped on this mild December afternoon.

Triton High School’s Javon Cowan was named the offensive MVP in the contest.  He rushed for two back-breaking touchdowns in the second half and added 159 yards rushing on 9 carries.

The East defense paralyzed the West’s efforts and Cape Fear’s Landon Sargent was named the most outstanding defensive player.
