NCHSAA Basketball Championship Week Kicks off in Winston-Salem

Men’s 3A East Regional Championship – Full Book
Southern Durham 78, Swansboro 65

The Southern School of Sustainability and Energy was powered by Jackson Keith’s 30-point, 11-rebound double-double as they earned their way to Friday’s Championships Game. A.J. Morman, Jr. added 19 points and five rebounds and Dwight Vincent chipped in 14 points.

Swansboro was led by 22 from Jermaine Cunningham and 17 from Tayvion Tangiora. Malik Richmond added 12 points and five rebounds.

Men’s 3A West Regional Championship – Full Book
Ben L. Smith 71, Hunter Huss 57

The Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles outlasted Hunter Huss on Monday night at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum behind a 24-point, 12-rebound double-double from Jyi Dawkins. Dawkins added two steals and two blocks. Kenny Miller Jr., added 21 points and seven boards while Gavin Palmore chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds.

For Hunter Huss, Jaleel Smith poured in 19 points and had 15 rebounds while Antonio Worthy and Ziayir Phillips added 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Women’s 3A West Regional Championship – Full Game Book
Stuart Cramer 62, North Lincoln 38

The Stuart Cramer Storm punched the first ticket to the State Championship Games on Monday afternoon at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The Storm was led by 22 points from Hadley Womack and 21 points and 14 rebounds from Shauna Holland. North Lincoln was led by 13 points and nine rebounds from Ashlyn Black.

Western Alamance 64, Terry Sanford 48

The Western Alamance Warriors jumped out to an early lead and ran their way to the 2025 Eastern Regional Championship on Monday at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Allie Sykes led the Warriors with 32 points, including going 13-15 at the free throw line. Tina Bowers added 21 points and 11 rebounds and was also solid at the line, going 7-for-7.

For Terry Sanford, Jaidah Blake had a team-high 21 points and nine rebounds, and Ameya Brown added 13 points and four boards.
