CHAPEL HILL – Due to the expected winter weather, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association has modified the schedule for the remainder of this week.
“After monitoring the forecast for inclement weather scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, consulting with the Greensboro Coliseum Staff, and discussing with the multiple parties needed to conduct the wrestling tournament, we settled on a change in the wrestling schedule in the interest of safety for all of those involved,” said Commissioner Que Tucker.
The Individual Wrestling Championships at the Greensboro Coliseum will now begin on Saturday, February 22. The quarterfinals, second consolations, and semifinals will be on Sunday, and the remaining consolations and finals will be conducted on Monday.
Playoff basketball seeding will now occur on Sunday, start time to be determined.
