WINSTON-SALEM – At the conclusion of the Regional Championships, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association announced the game times for the 2A and 4A Championship Games on Saturday. The schedule for Saturday is listed below, home teams are bold.
12:00 p.m. – Charlotte Catholic/Rolesville (4A Women)
2:30 p.m. – East Burke/North Pitt (2A Women)
5:00 p.m. – Reidsville/Farmville Central (2A Men)
7:30 p.m. – North Mecklenburg/New Hanover (4A Men)

4A West Women’s Regional: Charlotte Catholic knocks off Watauga 61-55 | Box Score
Led by 27 points and 18 points from Blanca Thomas, the Charlotte Catholic Cougars defeated top-seeded Watauga 61-55 in the 4A West Regional Finals.
The Pioneers were trailing by seven at halftime and pulled to within two at the end of the third quarter but the Cougars held Watauga at arms-length in the final frame. Three other Cougars each had nine points, Olivia Fava, Gracynn Gough and Maggie Kernodle.
For Watauga, Kate Sears had 38 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
4A East Women’s Regional: Rolesville outlasts Hoggard 47-34 | Box Score
The Rolesville Rams topped the Hoggard Vikings 47-34 on Thursday afternoon at Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum.
The Rams were led by 11 points from Caitlyn Jones and 10 from Taliya Rowe. Jones added four steals and four assists. Kayla Bush added eight points and nine rebounds. Hoggard’s Avery Fitzgerald had a team-high 10 points and six rebounds. Tristan Shivers chipped in seven points and four boards.
Rolesville will face Charlotte Catholic on Saturday in the 4A Championship Game.
4A East Men’s Regional: New Hanover squeaks past Richmond Senior 55-53 | Box Score
Thanks to a pair of late free throws from Rodmik Allen, New Hanover advanced to the State Championship Game with a 55-53 win over Richmond on Thursday evening at LJVM.
Allen, who finished with a team-high 23 points, helped his team recover from a 10-point third-quarter deficit and hit two free throws with 1:10 to play and those proved to be the final points of the game. Paul McNeil Jr. led Richmond with 36 points and 12 rebounds.
For New Hanover, Zeus Batts had nine points and a team-high 7 rebounds.
4A West Men’s Regional: North Mecklenburg tops Lake Norman in Overtime 65-61 | Box Score
North Mecklenburg advanced the 4A Men’s Championship Game with a 65-61 win over Lake Norman in overtime on Thursday night.
Isaiah Evans, who hit the shot at the end of regulation that tied the game, finished the night with 30 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, three assists and two blocks. Trey Maxwell III had 14 points and 5 rebounds and Chadlyn Traylor added 13 points as well.
For Lake Norman, five players scored in double-figures including Trent Stelhour who had 14 points and 15 rebounds and Santana Lynch had 14 points and 14 rebounds.
