CHAPEL HILL — The North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s Football Playoffs begin tonight with 123 games across the four classifications. Round One Game Notes are available here and on the Football Championships page on the NCHSAA website.

3A — 12:00 p.m.

2A — 2:30 p.m.

1A — 5:00 p.m.

4A — 7:30 p.m.
#3 Cox Mill vs #1 Middle Creek

The NCHSAA Women’s Dual Team Tennis Championships will also take place tomorrow at the Burlington Tennis Center. The match schedule is listed below.

1A – 9:30 a.m.
#8 Voyager Academy (11-6) vs #1 Mount Airy (24-0)

3A – 9:30 a.m.
#1 Terry Sanford (18-0) vs #2 Lake Norman Charter (23-0)

2A – 12:30 p.m.
#2 Research Triangle (17-0) vs #3 Hendersonville (17-0)

4A – 12:30 p.m.
#1 New Hanover (25-0) vs #4 Myers Park (20-0)

In the 1A Championship, undefeated Mount Airy is looking for its third title in a row and in the 2A Championship, Hendersonville is playing for its fifth title in a row. It would be the first title for both Voyager Academy and Research Triangle. In the 3A, both schools enter undefeated and it would be the first 3A Dual Team Women’s Tennis Championship for both teams, but Terry Sanford has four 4A titles and Lake Norman Charter has three 2A titles. In the 4A, Myers Park is playing for its third championship and first since 2016 while New Hanover is looking for its first.

Also on Saturday, the NCHSAA Cross Country Championships will take place at the Ivey Redmon Complex in Kernersville. The race schedule is listed below.

In the women’s competitions, Swain County (1A), NCSSM – Durham (2A), North Lincoln (3A) and Cuthbertson (4A) are all running for their third titles in a row.

Yesterday, the NCHSAA Men’s Soccer Playoffs completed the second round, the third round matches will be played on Monday, Nov. 6. Monday’s matchups are listed below.
