Stadium Tour: Mount Pleasant

As I like to do on most spring and summer weekends, I made a couple of stops on the #CPStadiumTour today.  My first stop was in Cabarrus County at Mount Pleasant High School.  Athletic Director Jody Barbee gave me a guided tour of the football stadium and I came away thoroughly impressed with many of the changes and upgrades since my last visit.

The school was able to install a new turf field in the football stadium, and they also made several upgrades to the facilities which really make it stand out.

Constructed in 1992, Larry Honeycutt Field at Tiger Stadium is one of the top 2A fields in the state.  Built into a natural bowl, it can host crowds of nearly 10,000 spectators.

The best game I was ever able to witness in the stadium was the 2017 3rd Round playoff game against Shelby, in which the Tigers came up short 7-0.
