    • Newton-Conover won a ton of games with his Georgia Southern offense. He loved it. He had athletes who could sling it all over the field but he chose to limit the bad things that can happen if you pass. THE OPTION IS NOT DEAD. ITS DEADLY. I doubt Bazzle sits in front of a Xbox console and pushes buttons dreaming of the go route on Madden. I almost puked in my mouth when they said Hibriten was setting up in the spread even if they run from it. Why? Was a state championship too little to accomplish? Jeez. FACT- your kids are more physical practicing running the ball than watching DBs and receivers play catch at the high school level. No touchy the QB please. Put a yellow shirt on the boy. DO NOT TOUCH MY QB. PREPARE TO LET UP WHEN APPROACHING. Watch Bazzle’s QB pitch  the ball at the last minute and take the hit.
    • I’m not counting Catholic out of anything.  We scrimmaged Parkwood this year, and I liked the scrimmage they gave us.   I’m not up on where they’re at with injuries or anything, but I’m not surprised to see them where they’re at.   They were physical and had a different scheme on D.
    • Coach Hill had a great career. He pretty much played the best and lost those close elite games.  He has since retired
    • Don’t you think no rain since Aug 23rd in the West was hard to fall on even with turf. Underneath that was a crust solid as cement. What about that god awful heat those kids endured? Was that not a safety issue more than getting wet? Heat stroke vs sprained ankles. We need to lobby for football to be just a 7 on 7 sport and go play it in a gym. Maybe get some bubble wrap for the kids. Have a halftime pool swim time. Where are the paper certificates for giving your best like at the YMCA? 20 point lead you have to sub the whole team out until it’s back to under 14 points. Allow transfers if mama don’t like the coach at halftime. Allow the kids to bring their blanky and favorite passy instead of a mouthpiece. Snacks. Who has the snack sheet? Extra undies for skid marks. Lightning 40 miles away is a delay but there was a flash in a distance country. 2,000,000 to 1 chance in getting struck, little less at 1 in 100,000 going home in the car. Who has the damn snack sheet this week I ask again.
    • Greg Hill put a physical, bust you in the mouth team on the field. 2005-2008 they had really strong teams but played some of the best competition in the state.  What I thought was his weakest team (after first season) went the furthest in the playoffs, third round.   In 2007 they lost to Richmond by six in the second round of the playoffs.  Beat Butler!  Lost to Indy, West Charlotte, and South Meck.  Indy and WC were the regional finalist and Butler beat Indy in the regular season causing a three way tie for first place in the conference.  2008 lost to Indy in the second round of the playoffs after regular season losses to them and Butler.
