Coaches for the 83rd Annual Shrine Bowl selected

The North Carolina coaching staff for the 83rd Annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas which will be played in 2019 has been selected.  The head coach for the 2019 squad will be Jim Teauge of Reidsville High School.  Teague served as an assistant coach in the 2002 Shrine Bowl and has a 329-117 coaching record.

Joining Teague on the staff will be holdovers from last year to include Reggie Lucas of Wake Forest HS, Antonio Moore of Northeastern HS and Robby Priest of East Bladen HS.

Tad Baucom of Sun Valley HS and Shane Laws of A.C. Reynolds HS will join the staff as well as Norman Weeks of Asheboro HS who serves as the true assistant coach.

The staff will formerly meet in February and begin working on the 2019 team and combine schedules. North Carolina tied South Carolina 10-10 this year but before that had won three-in-a-row over the S.C. Sandlappers.
