A lot of history and good feelings surrounds the old Tom Brown Stadium in Maiden

Some of the best and most historical games in NCHSAA history was played right here at the old Tom Brown Stadium in Maiden.  Known as the Biggest Little Football Town in America, the townsfolk and locals here at Maiden have long loved and supported their Blue Devils.

While I’ve visited the new Thomas E. Brown Stadium on the beautiful new campus of Maiden High several times, I always wanted to come over to the old grounds and take some photos of this historical treasure.

I can still see the smoke coming out from under the home grandstands as the Blue Devils would make their entrance into the stadium, and the feeling of the fans surround the stadium on all four sides was incredible.  The stadium on a Friday Night was just a special place and I can still see Coach Brown coming out and reminding the fans on the TV cameras to watch Football Friday Night!
