John Gamble Stadium upgrades continue

If there was ever a stadium and facilities that has shown massive improvement and has upgraded its standing among the best stadiums in North Carolina, it has to be the facilities at Kings Mountain.

John Gable Stadium has always been a great venue for High School Football.  It sets down into a natural bowl, it has an abundance of seating with its concrete grandstands, and the playing surface is among the better playing fields in our state.  Thanks to the Kings Mountain Touchdown Club, this facility has undergone a massive upgrade and will continue to see changes in the coming years.

A few years ago they added a new brick field house that sits behind the stadium that quite possibly could be the nicest in all of North Carolina, and a few weeks ago they finished their upgrades in the weight room adding all new equipment, floors, and amazing KM graphics.

Last year they finished their new concessions that overlook the grass bank next to the home grandstands, and in the coming years they are expected to demolish the current press box and construct a new state-of-the-art structure that is certain to be among the best in our state.

I hope you enjoy these photos, it was certainly a great trip there, at least until I was nearly chased off the field by a thunderstorm, but those are the dangers of bringing you these photos.
