Joe Glass steps down at JMR to accept Eastern Guilford job (Podcast)

In today’s CP Daily Download we’ll be joined by Joe Glass who just informed his team at J.M. Robinson High School in Concord that he’s stepping down from that role to accept the same position at Eastern Guilford High School.

Glass led the Bulldogs on their most successful stint in school history which includes back-to-back South Piedmont 3A Conference championships, and they knocked on the doorsteps of reaching the 3A State Finals by falling to Charlotte Catholic in 33-15 this past season.

He replaces Doug Robertson who leaves Eastern to accept the head coaching role in Thomasville.  Under Robertson, the Wildcats have been a constant program for the past five seasons but they really stepped things up over the past two years where they went 15-1 in 2016, falling 33-20 to Weddington in the 3AA State Finals, and they posted a 12-3 record in 2017 where they fell 32-29 to the eventual 3AA champions New Hanover in the 3A Eastern Regional Finals.
