Laymarr Marshall steps down at Mount Tabor

Mount Tabor High School will be seeking a new head football coach for the 2017 season as Laymarr Marshall has stepped down today to accept a position in the college ranks.  Marshall, a Mount Tabor alumni and gridiron standout at Duke University has complied an 80-35 record in his nine seasons at the helm.

While leading the Spartans, he had winning records in all but one season and had four 10-plus win campaigns and eight playoff appearances.

His best season was the 2009 campaign that saw the Spartans reach the third round of the playoffs before narrowly falling to eventual 4A state champions A.C. Reynolds by a score of 9-7.
