Kevin Gillespie steps down at Greensboro Page, accepts job at Asheboro

 GREENSBORO - Multiple sources close to the situation have confirmed that Kevin Gillespie has stepped down as the head football coach at W.H. Page High School in Greensboro to take over the football program at Asheboro
Gillespie has spent the last eleven seasons at Page and led the Pirates to the 2011 4AA State Championship and was 4AA State Runners-Up in 2015 and 2016.  He posted a 101-45 record at Page and has a 135-71 overall coaching record which included a five year stint at Trinity. 
He takes over at Asheboro for Owen George who stepped down last month.
