I know I'm a little late with this thread....but Kobe made an outlandish statement that his current Olympic team could beat the original Dream Team....I'm here to say that is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!! No Olympic basketball team will ever compare to that 1st team. Aside from Lattner, all of them are HOFamers....it still astounds me that the committee during that time chose Lattner over Shaq in the first place....or that whole team would have been HOFamers. Kobe, LeBron, Kevin....thats all that team has as far as HOFamers.....maybe Melo, and thats a stretch. There is no comparison to that 1st team of NBA players.....and the numbers don't lie either. They won every game by at least 37 points...every game by 37 or more!!! Kobe smoking that stuff...
