Imma go ahead and put him out there.....Josh Cuthbertson, I think he'll have a great season...that team only lost 2 seniors, both starters...but replaceable, Josh averaged 26+ pts. a game, 10+ reb. a game.....an all-state player....this kid plays with a lot of passion....I look for his numbers to be better in the upcoming season.

Preacherman,
Don't let em know about our sleeper players! We want them to be suprised. If anyone wants to see 5 of Concords returning players this weekend they can catch them at Carolina Courts in Indian Trail. Jerry Burk, Jay Jones, and Graham Pruett will be playing for the Charlotte Royals and Connor Burchfield for the CP3 All stars. Darren Blacks Team Charlotte team will be there as well

Shelton Mitchell (Cuthbertson), Devonte Boykins (East Rutherford), Travis Waldroup-Rodriquez (Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy), Gabe Devoe (Shelby), Allerik Freeman (Olympic), Kennedy Meeks (West Charlotte)... the list could go and go next year.

If you guys want to see something special, the FOREST CITY HEAT AAU BASKETBALL TEAM is the key. Boykins, Waldroup-Rodriquez, Devoe are all in the backcourt for this team. 16 and Under league. Has won several tournaments playing against the 17 and unders. Throw in big man Raphael Montgomery (Mooresville) in the post plus some other new guys and you got a team. Lost to AAU Team Ferrari, which features one of the top players in Jahil Okafor, by 4 points. FC Heat ranked number 2 in country in age bracket

Don't read too much into it at this point. I know his dad decently and its about 50/50. He lives in East Rutherford district so could legally go there. East rutherford will be a very good team without him as most of the players are back. If they add him, they should clearly be the favorites to take the trophy home. But as of now, he is enrolled at Thomas Jefferson and I would imagine him staying there another year.

Hes overrated anyway. Yall should be more concerned about Boykins....Is he going to be healthy? But the other kid looks good when hes playing against small slow unathletic kids, when someone gets in his grill and makes him play defense he becomes average....

Gotta disagree with you on this one. Hendersonville was far from "small slow unathletic kids" and he dropped 48 on them.. at will. He plays for the Forest City Heat AAU team and consistently puts up 20+ points against teams from all around the country. These teams could win a state championship by theirselves if they were an actual high school team and he does VERY well against them. His shot is one of the best I have seen and he uses his length very well. Several D-1 schools including BYU, S. Florida, and Wake have shown him heavy interest. More to come on that though as I see him playing college football over basketball.

NOBODY plays defense in AAU ball. NOBODY. It is the most individual form of basketball I have ever seen. Losing Boykins is bigger for East Rutherford than gaining this guy. If Boykins was there to create would be probably be the beneficiary of his ability dribble drive and kickout, not to mention Boykins threat as a knock down shooter..Losing Boykins is bad...

Nobody plays defense?? I think they play MORE defense in AAU ball. It's not an NBA All-Star game or a charity event. They play to expose their talents to college recruits and if you have seen a few teams play that didn't play defense, then I would say that you seen a few teams play that didn't have very good player. And if your saying that they play better defense in high school, then what about that 48 on the #2 team in the state last year? 35 against Owen?? 46 at Avery??? He averaged 33 points a game next year!

He is a huge grab for ER, as well as Devonte Boykins. With Devonte collapsing defenses with drives and penetration, that lives open shooters open and I wouldn't want anyone else grabbing the passes than Travis.

Losing Devonte hurts but ER is still in the mix for a ring!

Boykins may be back before the end of the season is what I'm hearing. Probably not before the start but I'm guessing around the middle of it.
