Region One – Greenwood is the Region Champ. The winner of the Easley –vs- Wren game will be the #2 automatic bid with the loser getting the #3 bid. Laurens will be the #4 automatic bid. No more “what if” for Region One
Region Two – I’m guessing everyone knows the winner of the Byrnes –vs- Boiling Springs get the Region Champ and #1 automatic bid, and the loser is the #2 seed. Dorman has the #3 automatic bid and J L Mann has the #4 bid. Region Three – Gaffney –vs- Spartanburg for the Region Championship. Should the Vikings pull the upset, Gaffney and Spartanburg will finish with identical 4-1 Region Records and the Vikings will be champions and get the #1 automatic bid due to the first tiebreaker is head to head. The rest of Region Three would be based on what happens. If the Vikings are #1, Gaffney will be #2 and if Gaffney wins the only thing for certain would be Gaffney at #1. Spartanburg would be 3-2, Northwestern beating Rock Hill would make them 3-2 and if Lancaster beats Clover, they would be 3-2 which would make it a three way tied and neither team wins the head to head. By points, I have Spartanburg with 34.5 points, Northwestern at 33.5 points and Lancaster with only 30.5 which would give Spartanburg the #2 and the Lancaster by virtue of their head to head win over Northwestern would get the #3 bid. If Clover beats Lancaster and Spartanburg and Northwestern are tied for the #2 bid, it goes to Northwestern due to their head to head win over Spartanburg and Spartanburg is the #3 bid. Region Four – Dutch Fork needs to beat Irmo to wrap up the #1 Bid. Should Irmo pull out the win, we could have a three way tie with Irmo, Ducth Fork and Richland NE. Points would break the tie again, and I have that as a tie and will require counting wins, then maybe losses, then… but I think Dutch Fork beats Irmo and wins the Region. That would also mean Richland NE is the #2 and Irmo is the #3 bid. Region Five – A Lexington win over White Knoll would mean #1 for Lexington #2 for North Augusta and #3 would go to White Knoll. A White Knoll win over Lexington… sorry, I just can’t go there. Region Six – West Florence is the Region Champ and Lugoff is out. The other four are fighting for two bids. Carolina Forrest and Conway play, so one will be eliminated and Sumter has Lugoff while South Florence takes the long trip to West Florence. I'm going to project that South Florence wins at West Florence, Conway beats Carolina Forrest and Sumter beats Lugoff. That would mean a three way tie, in which Sumter owns head to head against the other two and winning the #2 Auto Bid. ( I misread my game list and thought they were all 1-1... thanks Pengy) Region Seven – Goose Creek is Region Champ and James Island pretty much out of it. If Stratford beats Wando, Stratford is the #2 bid and West Ashley would get the #3 if they beat James Island. If Wando wins over Stratford, three way tie for the #2 bid looks to favor Stratford. If Wando and James Island win, the Wando gets the #2 seed. Region Eight – There are several threads posting what could happen there, but Ashley Ridge –vs- Ft Dorchester winner is Region Champ. After that.. it gets to be harder to understand than Chinese Arithmetic. I'm honestly not sure what to do here. I'm going with Ashley Ridge winning over Ft. D and in a three way tie for second, Ft D and Summerville would be tied and Beaufort has the fewest points, so I'm guessing that Summerville would get the #2 seed... but this is the hardest call to make for me.
