Are there any rules against Ref's contacting coaches after a game? I had heard a rumor that 2 ref's had contacted a coach after a game and apoligized for a bad call. I have never heard of this and thought it sounded strange.

Rules against it? No.

I see coaches from time to time after a game. It's not unusual for us to discuss a play and contrary to popular belief, officials are not above admitting or apologizing for a missed call.

I saw a coach during last basketball season and asked him if he was still mad about the technical foul I hit him with the previous Friday. He laughed and said, "No. After you told me what I did, I realized you were right."
