Texas firm brings "Big Time High School Football" to Carolina Coast

151 Sports Marketing, a company specializing in the promotion and orchestration of high school sporting events, gathered local guests, sports media, and key team members at the Carolina Opry to announce a new Name and Title Sponsor for the August 25th high school football doubleheader.

The Event features both the Myrtle Beach Seahawks and Conway Tigers. At 5 PM, the Trojans from Northwestern High School will travel from Rock Hill to face Chuck Jordan’s Tigers to be followed by Mickey Wilson’s Seahawks battling the Irmo Yellow Jackets in the nightcap.

In 2012, the Event will be referred to as the Derrick Law Firm Kickoff Classic. Dirk Derrick, a practicing accident attorney for the past 23 years and football aficionado, has agreed to the primary position for the inaugural Kickoff Classic to be played at Doug Shaw Stadium in downtown Myrtle Beach. Dirk Derrick had these observations on his participation: “I am very excited about sponsoring the Derrick Law Firm Kickoff Classic. I was born in Myrtle Beach and grew up in Conway as a football coach’s son. Myrtle Beach and Conway have built outstanding football programs and the entire area can be proud of their accomplishments. I look forward to highlighting these two programs and bringing such exceptional high school football to the Grand Strand.”
