Champion vs Champion... interesting match up, but I expect Latin will have too much and win this one by a comfortable margin

I will be surprised if that is all they win by but I am not that familiar with either team this season.

Saw the highlights and score on WBTV and had to lean in close and make sure it was correct. Could Statesville Christian be the next big private in football?

Statesville Christian has put together a very strong team last year and this year and are definitely an up and coming strength. Will they be willing to jump up divisions and compete with the latins, charlotte christian on a regular basis.

They're definitely not on Christians level (having seen them this year). But they're doing a good job building something up there.

Let's seen what they can do next year after they loose almost half the team

Yeah that'll be a real measuring stick of program depth

Statesville Christian?

Kind of a mix of a few... Lake Norman, Statesville, South Iredell and West Iredell probably the main areas. Think theyve had 1 or 2 from AC at some point too.

They pull a decent core group they have a "combine" every spring. You would be surprised at the area they draw from

From what I understand they do pull a lot from the local Statesville area. Parents that dont want to put there kids through the public system. They also get those kids that may have not been getting the playing time at the public school that they thought they should be getting.

When Mike Natoli was let go from West Iredell. A lot of players stated that they were going to transfer if they didn't reinstate him. A lot of West Iredell good players transfer to the Statesville Christian when Mike Natoli was hired as Offense Coordinator. The biggest stand out was Deshon Holmes. Now Natoli is the HC at Indy.

And SCS is still getting good players in without Natoli there

SCS has a good staff but I think Natoli was there IT factor on why some come and stayed and Natoli was a player coach n always go above n beyond for his players
