1. Ben Lippen- far and away. Senior transfers that started on very good 4A and 5A teams make it no contest. However, they lost two games last year with the best talent...
2. Hammond- only team that can challenge at this point
3. Porter Gaud- Underrated Coach
4. Laurence Manning- traditionally underachieving team.
5 on down- pull them out of a hat.

I agree with you on 1 but they did lose so there has to be a shake up in the poll. I disagree on Hammond. They will be good but they are down from their usua caliber. Rick Reetz is an under rated coach and a good friend but they are not a no 3 team. Laurence Manning has best team Broggsbhas had yet. Totally agree with your 5th point

Can't argue against Hammond. They have done it again. I keep hearing people say "but Ben Lippen's QB was hurt" but I don't think it would have mattered. Corbett was on target and they, as a team, play better than anyone else in SCISA. I think they are similar to Porter Gaud in that respect but have more talent.

No doubt that not having their QB changed things but Hammond still scored 35. Ben Lippen still had several college caliber players on the field without the QB. Just like last year, BL plays without one of their stars and loses. That goes to your point about playing as a team. Love hearing the scores and opinions on 107.5 Friday nights!

Totally agree about the playing as a team. Thanks!
