- West Craven - lost some senior leadership and talent but the move down to 2A will make then a contender

- Kinston - Down last year but a good group coming back

- Greene Central - Great offensive team, well coached

- Ayden Grifton - Tough hard nosed team, very well coached, they seem to start slow. A good start and they could move up.

- Washington - New HC / OC. Should be good on the defensive side of the ball. they'll need to score point for success

- North Lenoir - Good year last year, very good on the defensive side of the ball. Could be a sleeper.

- South Lenoir - Will struggle.

The top six could move up or down based on a few breaks, etc. If WC doesn't have a hangover from the way they finished the year last year they could be tough.
