Can't wait.  Hope the weather is fairly cool.  Deaton-Thompson's a nice stadium.

West Montgomery held their own and looked pretty good, especially against 4A East Forsyth.

I thought WM didn't do as well against Southern Guilford's OL but all in all your first 11 are really good. They won't face anyone the rest of the year as big or fast as East.

Being they played East Forsyth well tells me alot. That's a good program. Yeah depth is our issue but that's the case for most 1A teams. U ready to move us up yet?? Lol

Some of your staff said 13th was a good spot. You certainly impressed me but I already knew you were a good team.

Lol they like being underdogs u know that. Actually it's 11, but finishing is the main part. Program has 3 years left, pressure is definitely on.

West Montgomery's going to be just fine.  Some good sized young'uns on that squad.  Really liked watching #25.  That kid ran like a truck.

Yeah he's a big kid with speed. Didn't use him much last year

Does anyone know how Morehead did? Coming off a horrible no win season. Hopefully they do better this year.

Morehead didn't do all that well vs. Parkland or Tabor.  Gonna be an uphill battle for them.

I saw a few bright spots for Morehead but Chute Box is correct, it's going to be an uphill battle.

With that said, Coach Stadler is a good man and great coach and he'll have them ready and showing improvement. The best part about scrimmages is that they don't count and they provide ample opportunities for coaches to show mistakes.

I will say I did like #74 for Morehead.  He'll be a nice two-way lineman for them.

A few other thoughts from that night.....

North Davidson looked pretty decent.  Had some struggles against EF but had an easier time against SG.  They'll be real fun to watch on offense.  New QB not very big but can sling it.  Two shifty running backs.  Secondary looked real good (especially #2, he was one of the standouts at this thing,IMO).  They had a little trouble in the front seven though.  Good overall numbers but a little smaller across the board than I expected.  I don't think ND will have much trouble scoring points on most teams.  It's the defensive side of the ball that will determine their fate.

Southern Guilford had some decent size/speed/athletes.  They showed a lot of good enthusiasm.   If they all get on the same page, they could surprise some teams.

Leesville Road was alright.  O'line didn't seem the strongest.  Most impressive thing about them was their wideouts.  They ran extremely hard after the catch.  I'm not very familiar at all with the Raleigh area but if I had to guess, I think they'll finish around .500.

Great turnout.  I think everyone's ready for some football.
