North Stokes head football coach Mitch Reeves has stepped down to accept a coaching and teaching job at Walkertown. He'll be a good addition at Walkertown where he reunites with another fellow Starmount alum Josh Pardue.

It's always tough to see an already struggling program lose a coach this late in the year, but in this situation I don't blame Reeves a bit for the move.

Here is his farewell article from the Stokes newspaper.

According to that they have 52 kids who signed up to play this year. As is that will be a rather good number for them; it took Sessoms until deep in his run to get that much. I just hope the coaching change doesn't run a lot of them off. I hated to see them in that spot last year.

It's gonna take some time to build that program up to even contenting in small ball but if they get a willing and patient new coach anything's possible.

According to NC Preps they decided to bring back Sessoms. He has a meet and greet tonight with the players, familes, and fans.

Not a bit suprised with this I seen it coming once he left Alleghany.

I had been hearing this. Probably a good move for North Stokes.
