What do they have coming back for 2017?

Brevard- Last year was probably the best Brevard team since 2005.

Maiden- Have never been to the new Maiden High School. Matter of fact haven't watched a Maiden game since Tom Brown was the Coach.

Lexington- a program I would like to see return to their glory years. They were a powerhouse in the 80s

I don't know what these teams will bring but I remember a time when Maiden use to punish some teams under Tom Brown years. Of course I know times and competition has changed a lot over the years.

Maiden will be descent but will be very young. They could contend for the South forks 2a. Maiden will have a good young qb in Bain Sipe. Although not as fast as farley he has an arm on him. The tough test is ending the year with the 3 favorites to win the confrence. They have east Lincoln Newton Conover and Lincolnton. Look for maiden to jump out with some beginning of the season but the test will start vs east lincoln.

All three programs lose a ton of good talent and all will probably drop a slight bit from their performance in 2016.  The upside?  All three are very well coached and established enough that they'll have some good athletes to fill the spots lost to graduation.

Maiden and Brevard have the biggest tasks at hand trying to replace Caleb Farley and Tanner Ellenberger.

Ellenburger is a huge loss in offense for Brevard. He was the difference in their advancement last year. Maiden's Farley was smoking speed. On the upside Maiden will return to a more rounded team. We're going find out a lot about Maiden's coaching this year. The talent outside the skill positions is there but the speed is set back quite a bit. Maiden could finish second to fourth in the conference.

Agree with that. Word has it that they have yet to name a successor at QB. Tick Tock.

That could be why their best receiver is talking about transferring to Reynolds.
