The answer is incorrect.  Orange you glad I clued you in?   Scott would have been a great choice...but ...Nope.

Heard Sean Slingerland applied for it. Was an assistant for Morman last two seasons. He'd be a great coach for a young program

I hope those prophecies come true! Have been hoping that would happen for years. Now that would be a perfect fit for that program

Nipit would look good in Green and Gold or Green and Black, whichever it is these days at WS. (Back when I was in HS they were G/G)

Was told they're waiting on board approval on their hire. Not sure when they will release. I just hope he can get some of these kids out of the halls and back on the field again.  He is a West grad so maybe this wont be just another stepping stone job for someone.

Is is Quan Sturdivant? Was that his name? The QB/LB that played at UNC?

Sources are saying the next head coach may come from the Fayetteville area.  Nothing certain but that's what I've been hearing.

Brett Morton WSHS '04 will be introduced to the players Friday as the new coach. Leaving Westover HS where he was the DC.

Thanks for confirming this Ladge, I had been hearing that he was the selection, congrats to him.  It's always special to be able to return home and lead the program you grew up in.

I think this is a good move.  If he jumps ship in a few years it will continue to prove the belief of many that Stanly County is not a very good system to coach in.
