What a match this was. Needed the win in the last match to win the title being down 31-30. Romero gets a pin to complete the match and secure the victory. Must have been tense moments in the mountains.

Congrats to all the kids in Rville for working hard and completing the big accomplishment.

Buy those guys some nice jewelry. Final 36-31 Robbinsville.

Between Mitchell and Robbinsville the East will have a hard time getting title back.

I agree but it gets much harder with the rise of Elkin and Mt. Airy. These new up and coming schools could create a block of upper state teams that compete for state titles for a long time.

Rosewood had a tremendous year, wrestling some much bigger schools but the number of competitive 1A schools hasn't grown this year. Uwharrie made a nice run so we will have to see if they can sustain that level for future years.

Swain was decent this year. Don't know if they lose a lot though.
